Thank you to Alison and Daniel for making Dad’s funeral the perfect send off. At our very tough time Alison was there to provide support and help to all of us, as well as doing her job fantastically. It’s left us with a memory of a lovely day, just how Dad would have wanted it. I cannot recommend Guardian Funerals enough.
Knowing Ali, for many years I have every confidence in saying she offers each family a ” We Will Get Through This Together,” which tells you all you need to know about a true professional. Ali, is driven by empathy, understanding, and the sympathy that makes every family her “Own.” In this day of high costs, Ali is not driven by anything other than perfection, quality to meet the needs that last for generations.
In your days of darkness, when someone you love passes, the last thing you want to do is get on with sorting their funeral. It just doesn’t feel right. We had no idea who to call so i am glad we came across Guardian. They care greatly, feel for families and make it feel so personal. From the start of the process to the service they were just so good and couldn’t do enough. The service was so special and very relevant and thats what friends and family take away from it. I cannot recommend Guardian enough.
A few weeks ago we found ourselves in a sad place after suddenly losing our mum and grandma. The third call i made to Guardian Funerals and I was greeted on the phone by Alison, I knew within minutes that we were “reading from the same page” and I felt I was talking to a friend,

When my dad died at the end of 2015 we used Guardian Funerals for his service and they were superb.
The eulogy itself was personal towards my dad and reflected his life brilliantly. There was also a few jokes in there. Some people may not see them as appropriate for a funeral but I absolutely think they are.
Alison was also a great help in the run up to the funeral. She went out of her way to find the deeds to my uncle’s grave – my dad’s brother – so we could have my dads ashes interred into the grave.
I really can’t recommend Guardian Funerals enough.
Alison and Daniel make a fantastic team; they guided me through the funeral process with efficiency, empathy and good humour. They are very knowledgeable, experienced and friendly and seem really committed to their work. After a week on the phone with Alison and Daniel discussing, arranging and negotiating, the funeral ceremony was entirely appropriate and uplifting. A very professional and caring husband and wife team. At one of the most dreadful times in our lives – the loss of loved ones, when we’re at our most vulnerable – it’s made as comfortable and bearable as possible by Alison and Daniel Barrington. Firstly, March 2015, my mum, Nancy Robinson, went through the shock of losing a devoted husband of 48 years, Joseph Robinson, in the space of just a few short hours. Both Alison and Dan headed out to my mum and myself around 9pm that evening. Only a few months later, September 2015, this fabulous duo yet again were there to support both mum and myself, whilst mum was very poorly in hospital, and again after she unfortunately passed. I will be eternally grateful that I had two such amazing people to tend to, with total dignity, two such precious people of mine. Most highly recommended from start to finish, and beyond.
Alison and Daniel are the two of the most sincere and genuinely loving people you could hope to meet. They will help, support and guide you practically, through the initial darkest days with grace and dignity , irrespective of religious bent.
I can not recommend them highly enough, i wouldn’t trust anyone else with the people I love.
Alison and Daniel put on a amazing service for our little angel Oliver, it was very personal and i wouldnt have wanted it any other way. I knew Alison would take very good care of him which helped me to grieve more calmly knowing he was in the best caring hands. Thank you to Alison and Daniel for helping us through this most difficult of times. We tried a number of funeral services before contacting Guardian and felt like we were dealing with insurance salesman. Alison’s compassion was evident from the first telephone call. She and Daniel guided us through the whole process making sure our every wish was fulfilled. It was their attention to every little detail which made their service exceptional. It was almost as if they were members of the family, we will always be grateful.
